At The Classic Candle Company, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to reduce our carbon footprint and minimise waste by actively sourcing environmentally friendly packaging, reusing materials, being energy efficient, and acting responsibly.
Our Suffolk-based office and candle workshop operate entirely on 100% UK-generated renewable electricity from solar panels and wind energy. We have also partnered with energy suppliers who provide 100% renewable power for those cloudy days here in Suffolk! This means that every candle we pour helps us move closer to our goal of being net zero.
We’ve outfitted our facilities with energy-efficient LED lighting throughout, and all our heating and hot water are generated through an energy-efficient and eco-friendly wood pellet stove.
We are committed to ensuring that every one of our products is made and packaged in the most environmentally friendly way possible.
We have chosen infinitely recyclable and reusable glass jars and lids for our candles.
Our 6-block Wax Melts, MiniLight Candles, and MiniPot Wax Melts are all poured into recyclable plastic clam shells and cups, which are also CFC-Free and ISO 14001 certified.
When packing orders, we reuse all our own biodegradable cardboard and recyclable packaging materials to minimize waste that could otherwise end up in landfill.
We encourage our customers to reuse and recycle our packaging. Our glass jars can be repurposed for various household uses, from storing small items, or serving as a vase, to holding pasta and flour in the kitchen, to serving as decorative pieces. By giving new life to our packaging, we can all contribute and have a positive impact!
